Vanessa Williams is the Chief Compliance Officer at Coinbase Asset Management. Prior to Coinbase Asset Management, Vanessa was the Head of Regulatory Compliance for the Americas for Amber Group, a global firm providing digital asset trading, products, and infrastructure, and was the Global CCO of CrossTower, where she helped build regulated digital asset exchange platforms in several countries, including the United States and Bermuda. Prior to CrossTower, she served as CCO to QS Investors, a US quantitative and multi-asset registered investment adviser with approx. 21 billion AUM and 19 billion AUA, served as Chief AML/Privacy Officer to over 120 US and Cayman-based mutual funds at Legg Mason (now Franklin Templeton), provided enterprise level compliance support to Legg Mason subsidiaries in various compliance areas, and served as compliance stakeholder on new product launches and global regulatory initiatives. Over the course of her career, Vanessa held principal designations with FINRA and the NFA, was registered as a CCO with the Ontario Securities Commission, and served in compliance roles with Citigroup and Lincoln Financial Group. Vanessa holds a B.A. from Lehigh University.
